Commercial agency is governed by its own legislation, which sets out specific rights and duties between agents and principals, such as territory, exclusivity, commissions and termination indemnities.

Mendes advises agents and principals on drafting and reviewing agreements, designing commission and exclusivity policies, preventing the risk of the relationship being recharacterized as employment, and handling disputes arising from terminations.
